Keith Blundell

Keith Blundell is Director of Blue Chip Tourism.

Keith has more than twenty years' experience in destination management. His career started in marketing roles at Poole and the New Forest before joining the North West Tourist Board in 1994. At NWTB Keith spent five years as Development Manager, leading the business support team and specialising in rural development and European funding issues.

Keith joined Liverpool City Council in 2000 and became Head of Tourism in 2004, playing a key part in the preparations for, and the delivery of, European Capital of Culture 2008. He developed and delivered the City of Liverpool Cruise Liner Terminal, award-winning tourist information services and group travel programmes, plus ground-breaking tourism initiatives in Music and World Heritage Tourism.

As well as his Liverpool duties, Keith chaired a number of national consortia including citybreaks and DPUK and played an important role at a national level.

Keith left the City Council to set up Blue Chip Tourism in July 2012. Since then he has worked with a number of clients in a variety of consultancy roles.

Keith is a member of the Tourism Society and the Tourism Consultants Network and regularly contributes to industry conferences in his specialist areas.
